Details regarding the homeless woman employee firing incident by Walmart at Mesa store

It does seem that no good deed goes unpunished.

Claudia, in a conversation taking placed Saturday, March 23, 2019, added some interesting details. First off, this homeless human being has a name, her name is Greta. Greta is a lucky woman in at least one way. Someone who actually gives a damn about other people just happened to be in the loop when the process of firing her got underway. Of course, that person was none other than our Claudia. Claudia said she was not directly involved in the firing process at first but since the woman was under her supervision, she took an interest in the matter. First thing she noticed was that the time of day Greta was supposedly observed taking merchandise from the store had to be wrong because she had Greta on the cash register at that hour. Going one step further: Claudia took a look at the incriminating footage and all it showed was a Walmart associate with a vest on, going out the door carrying a bag. You could not make out who the person was or any details of the bag. Seeing what was going on, Claudia went straight to Greta and told her the store was trying to frame her. Greta was homeless(she lived on the premises at night) but certainly not dumb, she immediately called The Open Door Personnel Office in Bentonville, Arkansas with her complaint and shortly thereafter became a “protected person”. Greta was not fired and as far as we know, she’s still gainfully employed at the Mesa store. App. one month later, Claudia was fired by these same people, at this same store, for exactly the same reason, a bogus theft charge. Of course we must ask why didn’t Claudia do what Greta had done and call Walmart Open Door Department? The answer is that Claudia was so upset and confused by the unexpected attack she didn’t think to make the call. Besides, the reader will recall the inquisitor (redacted) told her he couldn’t let her make a phone call or even let her go to the bathroom. Really? How so? Looks like the WM clique did not intend to make the same mistake twice? No phone call to Open Door for you Claudia. It seems that after you’ve been fired, Walmart Open Door Dept. can’t help you.

In closing, I asked Claudia if the effort to fire Greta was most likely based on the manager’ s subjective notions about who she wanted working in the store. Claudia replied yes that’s most likely it. Vanessa, the store manager, simply didn’t want ugly or old people working in her store regardless of their job performance. [1]

  1. Claudia, as I recall, can cite other instances of store managers resorting to theft charges in order rid themselves of people they didn’t like. The Second Store Incident is a good example.
