On 6/15/2020 while sitting at the computer with great grandson, the child in the shopping cart footage, I noticed the shopping cart footage icon on the desktop screen so I clicked on it and asked grandson to take a look. He had barely turned 8 when the incident happened, he’s 10 now. I watched him as he viewed the video for the first time and saw not fear but anger. The incident did frighten the child, we know that from a conversation that took place sometime after the fact. I asked him to tell me what he remembered. He simply stated that when the shopping cart was jerked to a halt by Liar No. 2. demanding to see a receipt, his Dad reached into his pocket, took out the receipt and showed it to Liar No. 2. and as they were heading out to the truck, Liar No. 2. yelled out he was going to call the police. End of story. Now, this late-entry anecdotal evidence could be something an old man and his great grandson made up. It could be but it isn’t. So, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, what do you think? Did the grandson tell the truth or not? If Liar No. 2. threatened to call the police but didn’t, why didn’t he?? Next day; same subject. Just to see if grandson would tell the story the same way, I brought up the subject again; his recollection had not changed.
